In the urban development programs of the city of Dakar,
in the area of the new international airport, the project develops
the theme of single-family residence in search of an adequate typological
model for the traditional community models.The single unit is in different variations,
and in aggregate minimum modules capable to fulfill
the need to maintain strong ties between extended families.The houses dialogue with the outside through private patios
connected to each other, within the extended families, but able,
with out towards the public spaces to be support for the activities
that the same nuclei may develop towards the urban community
(laboratories, commercial spaces).The manufacturing technology has been simplified to maximum
to allow the mass production of the housing.
The project involves the use of a single prefabricated panel
which allows use in various lengths complete housing unit assembly.
